She has performed a variety of surgeries and dentals through her career whilst also managing an emergency room environment. She has helped countless pets and attentive owners with the pet's healing and wellbeing.
Co-founding Helping Paws to provide a combination of care and affordability, she is striving to provide what she couldn't find with the other clinics at which she practiced. Working as a relief doctor for several years, she gained a breadth of experience with dozens of clinics that has shaped her technique and practice foundations today. A native of Florida, she ventured to Colorado for both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees, earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University.
In her free time, she revels in the beauty of nature through her photography and dotes on her own pets, which include: a Saint Bernard named Heidi, a Siamese cat Frankie and a Pomeranian Dusty. As a pet owner bringing their beloved animal to Helping Paws, you can be confident your family member will be in well-practiced and empathetic hands with both Dr. Kappel and Dr. Mack.
