← Back to Our DoctorsDr. Carla Mack is a Colorado native, co-founder, and veterinarian at Helping Paws Animal Hospital. She earned her veterinary degree from Colorado State University and has a strong professional interest in emergency surgery and dentistry.
Dr. Mack's passion for veterinary medicine began early — she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian by the age of five. As a child, she experienced the heartbreak of losing a beloved pet due to financial limitations, a moment that would later shape her career and mission. After becoming a veterinarian, she saw many families facing the same difficult circumstances and realized there had to be a better way. This led her to co-found Helping Paws Animal Hospital with the goal of making dental care and life-saving care more accessible.
Her approach to veterinary care is rooted in the belief that cost should never be a barrier in emergency situations or dental care. Dr. Mack is deeply committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care and finds her greatest sense of accomplishment in helping save the lives of animals who might not otherwise have had a chance.
